What should I do if I can’t draw enough blood?Updated 5 months ago
Don’t worry—you're not alone and this is quite common. If you’re struggling to collect enough blood for your test.
If you have successfully followed the steps correctly, you will need to draw more blood from a new finger. Please use one of the extra lancets provided in your kit to repeat the steps and draw more blood until the marker on the tube has been met.
Important: Whatever you do, do not squeeze your finger hard to draw blood out - this will rupture the blood and our lab will not be able to process it.
Tip: If your sample didn't draw as easy as it should - try some exercises to increase blood flow to the area such as; rinsing your hand under warm water, spinning your arm around in circles, or standing up whilst sampling.
